Welcome  Dear partners and friends. I pray the Lord will strengthen you to continue in daily meditation of His precious, valuable and honourable promises (2 Peter 1:4). Jesus was cursed so that we could be blessed with God's promises (Galatians 3:13-14, 16). God's will is that through faith we bring into reality the promises of His kingdom. Meditation of His promises is the method of planting and watering His powerful seeds, thus, through faith, producing His powerful fruit. This powerful deliverance comes through abiding in Christ, who is the Word of God (John 15:4).  I have just completed a very precious and successful time of ministry in Myanmar (Burma), where we taught five three-day seminars. God's Word was mostly received with wide open hearts and it was a great joy and honour to feed spiritually hungry people with the pure Word of God. During some very anointed and powerful times of prayer people came forward to request Jesus to be their Lord. People were delivered from oppressive spirits and the anointing of the Lord was present to touch people deeply in their hearts, bringing love, comfort and healing. We did experience some opposition from the enemy, both through people and direct physical attacks by devils; however we completed all our endeavours in victory! In addition to the extensive preaching we distributed more than 140 copies of my book "The Sword of the Spirit" in the Burmese language.  We have received tremendous reports of God's miracles among the locals in the areas of finance and healing, as people have received the seed of God's promises in their hearts. God sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction (Psalm 107:20). Reports indicate that the living Word of God has healed people of breast cancer and paralysis, and provided funding for local mission work in Myanmar. Some critics have said that God's Word of faith (Romans 10:8) will not work in the poorer developing countries, but this is not true. God's Word is not limited by man's economy and will work wherever there is faith in men's hearts.  Bless you, I love you; and my heartfelt thanks to those who interceded and partnered with us in this successful time in Burma. Love, Andrew.  Teaching - "The Uncertain Factor is the Human Heart" Copyright © Andrew J. Shreeve 2011 This teaching will soon be available in video format on my YouTube channel - AndrewJShreeve  Jesus' teaching in Mark 4:1-29 is foundational for us to continue in correct doctrine (Mark 4:13). Unless we master this teaching by Jesus we will come to incorrect conclusions about why people do not receive God's delivering power. The parable clearly explains that the power of God's kingdom is dependant upon the successful growth of His seed / Word in the human heart. The heart is the ground, and only the good ground will produce the fruit. The variable, unknown or uncertain factor is not the will of God. God's will is His Word; God's will is His promises! The will of God, however, is contained in seed form (Mark 4:14). To receive God's will, the seed must be planted and grown in our hearts (Mark 4:26). The only uncertain factor is the human heart! Are our hearts good ground to grow the seed OR are our hearts hard stony ground, and full of thorns and weeds which prevent the Word from bearing fruit? As the Word, or seed, of God is not uncertain; God's Word will always produce the fruit of what it says - if it can find the good heart to receive it.  We must learn to take responsibility for the growth of God's promises in our hearts. We must not: blame God for an unfulfilled promise in our lives, or insinuate that God has changed His will, that God's will is uncertain, or even worse that God has lied and cannot be trusted to fulfill His written Word in our lives. To use the argument that a promise of God was not fulfilled because of "the sovereign will of God" is a deceptive way of saying God's Word / promise is either not true and cannot be trusted, or cannot be understood. Both options are incorrect! God's sovereign will is His written Word, which can be easily understood! To undermine a promise of God by saying "it wasn't fulfilled because of the sovereign will of God" is the deceptive work of the devil. The devil's main objective is to cause us to loose confidence, or faith, in God's promises. If the devil can create uncertainty concerning the will of God, he can effectively steal the seed of God's Word (Mark 4:15) and gain a victory.  To successfully live by faith we must abandon ourselves from the fear of the possibility, and the consequences, of our faith not working. At the time of extreme pressure, when it looks like our faith has not worked and we face failure, this is the time to hold our resolve of faith in God's Word; it is the moment for the possibility of our greatest victory! In other words; we need to hold our nerve, or not crack under the pressure. To hold our 'faith position' in the face of adverse pressure we must be confident, however, that we have done the work of planting and watering the seed in our heart, and given the seed time to grow (Mark 4:26-29). We must also be confident that the Holy Spirit has led us to step out into the specific arena of faith to challenge the adverse circumstance (Romans 8:14, 16). It may be unwise to expect a divine miracle of faith if we know we have not done the necessary work of planting and watering God's seed concerning the expected miracle, and in addition we have not sensed the leading and peace of the Holy Spirit.  Most of us underestimate how much meditation is required to develop our hearts to be capable of producing the fruit of God's Word. A fruitful heart requires the diligent, daily work and commitment of meditation. Commitment to the discipline of meditation of God's promises needs to be encouraged every Sunday in our churches (Hebrews 4:11, John 15:4, 1 Corinthians 3:9). The bible clearly says that the work of meditation is to be 'day and night'. This implies a lifestyle of daily meditation of God's Word (Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:2). It is illogical to expect the fruit of God's Word without diligently planting and watering His seeds? God is, however, always faithful to deliver on the specifics of one of His promises, when He sees genuine faith in the hearts of His people, regarding the specific promise.  Some of us are not clear about the difference between general and specific faith. We have thought that general faith in Jesus Christ should be sufficient to deliver to us all of the promises of God. General faith in Jesus qualifies the Christian to receive every promise of God (2 Corinthians 1:20, Ephesians 1:3), however specific faith in each individual promise is required to bring each promise into manifestation. Otherwise every born again Christian would have every promise of God manifesting in their lives; however this is obviously not happening.  To receive a specific promise of God, faith and patience is required (Hebrews 6:12). Some Christians have more faith in one area of God's promises than in another area. For example, you may be able to believe God for financial prosperity but struggle to believe God for healing. To illustrate this concept; a farmer may be successful at growing oranges but unsuccessful at growing apples. Successfully producing a different fruit requires a different nurturing of the soil, and a different climate. So it is with our hearts; we need to diligently examine our hearts concerning each particular promise we are expecting to receive from the Lord, to ensure our hearts are good ground to receive the seed in each particular area of promise.  It is empowering when we take responsibility for the success of the manifestation of God's Word in our lives (Mark 4:24). No longer are we helpless, idly waiting and hoping for a divine intervention one day. Rather we go to work on our hearts with God's seed / promises, with expectation that God's Word is well able to change our problems into His glorious victory (Hebrews 4:11, Romans 12:2, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5).  Pray with me, "Father God, thank you for delivering to me the precious seed of your Word. I accept that your Word is your sovereign will. I do not doubt your will in desiring to bring the promises of your Word into manifestation in my life. I know that because I am in Christ Jesus every promise of God belongs to me, and is my right (2 Corinthians 1:20). I therefore take full responsibility to plant and water your seeds in my heart unto maturity and fruitfulness. I pray you will strengthen and help me in this important work of the kingdom. I fully expect to receive the fruitful blessings of the power of your kingdom. I pray this in Jesus Christ name, Amen."  Study Resources  The meditation books - "Strength and Power", "The Sword of the Spirit", "In Christ Meditations", and "God's Covenant of Healing" are available in hard copy through my website e-shop: go to - www.andrewshreeve.org "The Sword of the Spirit" is also available as a multi format e-book: go to - http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/24226  View more than 60 short videos (each less than 15 minutes) by Andrew; go to - www.andrewshreeve.org or http://www.youtube.com/user/AndrewJShreeve  Freely listen to anointed audio teachings in the following languages: Burmese, English, Indonesian, Karen, Khmer, Mandarin, Thai, Spanish, Tamil, Urdu and Vietnamese.
