 Welcome  Dear partners and friends,  Greetings in the almighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ! I pray you are continuing to meditate God's precious promises. In so doing you will establish your faith shield and prohibit the devil from stealing your rich inheritance in the Lord (Ephesians 6:16).  This past week I had the privilege and joy of ministering with a team from RHEMA Family Church, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, to a remote area of the nation, Vanimo, West Sepik. We had three open air style evening crusades, and teaching for pastors and leaders during the days. Church leaders came for all over the Sepik region with 45 receiving ordination certificates and 24 receiving pastor's cards. In the final evening session more than fifty came forward to give their hearts to the Lord Jesus Christ, fifteen were first time decisions. I also had the opportunity to minister on the national radio, and we distributed more than 100 of my Scriptural meditation books.  It was a wonderful experience to meet some of these pastors who came from remote regions of PNG, and impart into their lives spiritual truth. In the natural we were very foreign to each other, yet we felt a wonderful bond in oneness and love by the Spirit of the Lord. Shreeve 2010  Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; forbearing one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfection Colossians 3:12-14  It is sometimes a challenge to act in love when personal interests or ambitions are threatened. And yet this is to be the Christian way - the way of love. The Scripture says that love is the bond of perfection. When faced with decisions we should always ask ourselves; what would love do? We should extend mercy, forgiveness and grace just as God has extended mercy, forgiveness and grace to us through Jesus Christ. We are not to be unprincipled like the heathen who tread down and destroy their brothers in pursuit of their own interests.  Paul the apostle found a person in Timothy who was loving and selfless, and prepared to put the interests of Jesus Christ above his own.  For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's Philippians 2:20-21  Timothy was a unique disciple in that he had cultivated his heart to naturally care about others before himself. Timothy was Christ Jesus minded, not self minded. He was loving and not selfish. When faced with decisions Timothy would consider what was in the best interests of the body of Christ, which may or may not be in his best interests. Timothy wasn't like the success driven people of this world, who often compromise Godly principles in the pursuit of power or 'success'.  Love always considers the unity of the body of Christ. Jesus prayed these final words before His betrayal and crucifixion:  Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me John 17:20-21  Unity of the body of Christ is vital for the winning of souls into the Lord's kingdom. We should leave no stone unturned in our efforts to preserve the unity of the body of Christ, as our Christian unity will strongly influence whether those who are lost and condemned to hell will receive the revelation to repent, believe on Jesus, and be saved.  Pray with me, "Father in heaven, thank you that Jesus has loved and forgiven me for all my sins. Thank you that I have been placed into the one body of Christ, and ever believer in Christ is now one with me - I belong to them and they belong to me. Please give me your strength and ability to be graceful, humble, longsuffering, kind and forgiving with my fellow Christians. To care for the unity of the body of Christ above my own self interest. To be one in love, just like Jesus and the Father are one, so the world will see our love and unity and believe in Jesus Christ unto salvation.
