Welcome
Dear partners and friends,
I pray the Lord will strengthen you to continue to keep your words, mind, will and emotions fixed on God’s promises. It is through God’s promises that we receive a multiplication of God’s grace and peace, receiving God’s supernatural power for everything we need for life and godliness, thereby partaking of God’s divine nature (2 Peter 1:2-4).
This month’s teaching contains excerpts from my book “In Christ Meditations”. It explains the concepts of meditation and seed planting, which are crucial to bearing fruit in the kingdom of God.
Be blessed, I love you, Andrew.

Part of the armour of God is the ‘Sword of the Spirit’, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17). To successfully live the Christian life, God’s Word must be in our mouth (Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:2). We must learn to speak God’s Word out loud! God’s Word is alive, and there is tremendous power released when a Christian will agree with God through speaking His Word (Proverbs 18:21, Hebrews 4:12).
God will never force His blessings upon anybody, including the Christian. We authorize God’s power being released in our lives through the Words of our mouth (Romans 10:10). Many Christians are unknowingly coming against God and forbidding His blessing in their lives, through speaking Words which oppose the written will of God in the Bible. Subsequently, the church has not received the completeness of God’s blessing, and not fulfilled her full potential in bringing maximum glory to Jesus…
Instead of approaching God with problems, complaints, and suffering, Christians need to learn to approach God with His covenant, quoting to God His Word, especially His exceeding great and precious promises (2 Peter 1:3-4). Many people read the Bible from a remote position, as if it were a story, somehow removed from them. By putting God’s promises into personal and present tense affirmations, Christians can realize they have ownership of the Bible’s promises. It becomes ‘I’ or ‘we’, and not somebody else. We need to approach Bible reading not as a ‘story’ about Jesus, the Israeli nation, and the early church. Rather, the Bible is a written document, authorized by God, containing the terms of our covenant rights. To be successful Christians, we need to approach God speaking out loud His covenant promises.
We need to study the Biblical document, extract out of it our legal spiritual entitlements, and then receive these spiritual rights into our heart. These spiritual rights are the promises of God. But how do we receive, and then enforce, our legal entitlements? How do we get the promises of God to manifest into our natural lives? The method of receiving God’s promises into our heart is meditation…
God’s Words are spiritual seeds, which need to be planted and nourished in our heart. This is done by first receiving these Words of God into our heart, through our will, intellect and emotions. By seeing the written promises of God with our eyes, the seeds go through our eyes, into our mind, then into our heart. By hearing the promises of God spoken out loud, the seeds go through our ears, into our mind, then into our heart. By speaking the promises of God with our voice we are authorizing and agreeing with God’s Word and releasing our faith and belief in these promises (2 Corinthians 4:13). This is called meditation of God’s Word. Meditation is the method of planting, watering, and growing, the seeds of God’s covenant in our heart. Over time, if these seeds are diligently nurtured and protected through continual repetitive meditation, they will take root, and grow in our heart, producing the fruit and power of the Kingdom of God (Mark 4:26-29).
The result of the growth of the seed of God’s Word will be faith! God’s Word contains faith (Romans 10:17). When faith increases, the Christian will come to the place where they truly believe the covenant promises of God. The Christian is then empowered to speak and act in agreement with God’s Word (Joshua 1:8). This is when the covenant promises will manifest in the Christian’s life (Mark 11:23). God’s power is released through faith (Isaiah 53:1, Romans 1:16). All along, God has wanted the Christian to partake of His covenant blessings (Ephesians 1:3). God, however, has limited Himself to bless us until we come into faith-filled agreement and unity with His Word (Hosea 4:6, Hebrews 4:2, 6:12, 11:6)…
Sometimes our soul and/ or our body rebel against receiving God’s Word. The un-renewed part of our soul and body may take offence at the Scripture and be disinterested or even hostile (Mark 4:16-17). If you ever feel this way, it does not mean you should stop meditating. Rather, it means your soul has hardened to that area of Scripture. This rocky ground of the soul needs to be ‘ploughed up’ so the Word can penetrate though our mind into our heart. The hard stony ground needs to be broken!
“Is not my Word like a fire?” saith the Lord; “And like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?” Jeremiah 23:29
Let us hammer our soul with the Word of God until hardness in our soul is broken, until those devil strongholds in our mind are destroyed, and our soul is in unity with God’s Word (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). Then the Word will easily flow into our heart, and we will be good ground to bear much fruit (Mark 4:20).
