| Welcome | Dear Partners and friends, Greetings from South East Asia! I encourage you to keep meditating the Lord’s promises every day for the rest of your life. It is God’s Word that contains the supernatural life and power to cause your life and circumstances to change for the better (Mark 4:26). I have now been in South East Asia for the past three months ministering in Thailand, Myanmar, West Malaysia, Sarawak, and xxx. Next month I will be going to a country which needs to remain undisclosed at this time. Since my last letter over 500 books were distributed into the churches in Sarawak, over 190 into the church in xxx, and more than 30 into the churches in Thailand. We have had 12 meetings in 3 cities in Sarawak, 7 meetings in xxx, and 7 sessions with a church in Bangkok, Thailand. By the grace of the God we have enjoyed the strong anointing of the Lord. Many people have been edified and encouraged by the teaching and book ministry, as well as the impartation of the Lord’s anointing and healing power through prayer. Thank you for your continued partnership both spiritually and physically. The Lord will multiply your seed sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness (2 Corinthians 9:10). Shreeve 2008 ‘You Qualify in Christ’ | A common misconception or error among Christians are the thoughts that I must be really good to receive God’s promises, and I must not have any sin in my life and keep all God’s commandments if I want to be blessed by God. This reasoning sounds legitimate and is a half truth but it actually misses the heart of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The fact is, nobody is without sin or completely keeps all of God’s commandments, whether Christian or non-Christian (Romans 3:9-10). As 1 John 1:8 says to Christians: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. As clearly nobody is without sin, we are all doomed to miss out on God’s blessings if we believe the idea we must be perfectly free of sin before we can be blessed. So what is the truth about receiving God’s blessings if it does not hinge on our ability to be perfect? God’s promises are received by faith, based on the fact that we are ‘in Christ’! For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 2 Corinthians 1:20 When we are ‘in Christ’ we are deemed righteous by God (2 Corinthians 5:21) and therefore perfectly qualified to receive His promises. We are eligible for all of God’s blessings by virtue of our position in Christ, not by virtue of our external actions. Through faith and patience we inherit the promises (Hebrews 6:12). If the promises therefore are received through faith and not by my own merit, then can I live in sin and still be blessed? Galatians 5:19-21 says those who do the works of the flesh… shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Why is this so if none of us are without sin? Sin itself is not the disqualifier, as Jesus took away the sins of the world (John 1:29). The disqualifier is not having faith! The catch is faith works by love (Galatians 5:6), and sin and love are opposites. In other words, if I walk in sin I am not acting in love, and therefore not in faith. Not being in faith will stop the blessing of the promises flowing to us. So the strategy is to know that we qualify for all of God’s promises by virtue of our being ‘in Christ’. If we can keep ourselves in faith then we can inherit the promises which will dramatically improve and bless our lives, so we can be a blessing to those around us. We keep ourselves in faith by daily meditating God’s promises (Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:2-3, Romans 10:17, 2 Peter 1:3-4). We walk by faith through following and obeying the leadings of the Holy Spirit every moment of every day (Romans 8:14, 16). When we do become aware of a sin we have committed, communicate it immediately to the Father God, receive His forgiveness and restore the sweet fellowship (1 John 1:9). Don’t remain in the sin as it will bring corruption into your life (Galatians 6:8). Don’t mope around in guilt and depression however because of your failure. Rather, without delay get into faith concerning all of God’s promises. Walk in love, quickly put your faith shield up (Ephesians 6:16), and continue marching to the beat of the heavenly drum. We have a mission to accomplish! We need every believer full of faith, experiencing every blessing and promise of the Lord. Say with me, “Thank you Lord, Jesus is my righteousness. I qualify for every promise of God simply because I am in Christ Jesus. I am in faith and every promise is working in my life right now. I am blessed to the glory of God!” | | Itinerary | 20 September SIB Youth, Sibu, Sarawak, Borneo, East Malaysia 21 September SIB Sibu (3 services) 23-24 September SIB Sarakei, Sarawak 26 September Night Rally, SIB Lutong, Sarawak 27 September Seminar + Night Rally, SIB Lutong 28 September NLF Miri, Sarawak Calvary Charismatic, Miri 12-19 October 7 meetings, undisclosed church, xxx 24-26 October 7 sessions, Friendship Church, Bangkok, Thailand Nov-Dec Undisclosed Countries Jan 7-27 Singapore Feb Undisclosed Country | | ANDREW SHREEVE MINISTRIES ‘Bringing good tidings, publishing peace and salvation’ (Isaiah 52:7, Romans 10:15) | |
