| Welcome | Dear Partners and friends, Greetings from a wet and humid South East Asia! I pray you are continuing to keep your heart full of faith (Hebrews 3:12, Proverbs 4:23) through daily meditating the Lord’s precious covenant promises (2 Peter 1:4). As we focus on keeping our heart established in His promises we are assured of faith in His Word which will bring His power and grace into our circumstances (Romans 10:17, 1:16). This is how we live the supernatural abundant life of God (John 10:10). I am writing this letter from Yangon, Myanmar. However, you are receiving it a few days later than normal, as I am sending it from Thailand, where I have just returned to. In Myanmar/ Burma I have been ministering, in a bible school setting, to 41 evangelists, church leaders and pastors representing many denominations. The 30 sessions of teaching over two weeks was an outstanding success. The leaders have received revelation and insight into God’s Word which they have never received before in decades of study and seminars. One ladies heart has been warmed and turned to the Lord like never before in the last 27 years. Students have expressed being profoundly and deeply touched in their hearts, so this has been most encouraging. The training of church leaders is one of the core foci of Andrew Shreeve Ministries. One of the students, a Senior Lutheran Pastor with oversight of 50 churches, was convicted by the Lord to be water baptised. After water baptism he was gloriously baptised with the Holy Spirit speaking passionately in unknown tongues. This reminded me of the Apostle Paul’s ministry in Acts 19:5-6. In Thailand I had the joy of being a speaker at the Friendship Church, Bangkok Annual Camp. It was a very wonderful experience of warm Christian love and fellowship. In addition to the anointed teaching ministry, the owner and the manager of the resort both gave their hearts to Jesus Christ (previously Buddhists). The joy and glory of the Lord over these men coming into God’s kingdom was very touching. This month’s teaching is based on what I taught at the camp. I know it will be blessing to you. The Lord is opening up many powerful opportunities to establish His covenant among the nations. We are producing tremendous fruit which is impacting and changing the nations. We are so blessed to have the opportunity to participate in this mighty work of the Lord. We will continue to expand operations in the coming months. How wonderful it is to seize these God given occasions by walking in boldness and faith. You are blessed to be in partnership and have this fruit credited to your account. Shreeve 2008 ‘The Fruitful Life’ | Living from the power of Christ (Galatians 2:20) The fruitful life lives by the faith of the Son of God. It is the Word established in our heart that gives us faith (Romans 10:17). Our life flows from our heart (Proverbs 4:23). As we act on the Word, the grace or power of God equips us for the supernatural life of God. This brings the fruit of God. When we read the bible, we need to view it (particularly the Old Testament) through the understanding that we are in a New and better covenant (Hebrews 7:22). All bible teaching should be interpreted through the understanding of the finished work of Christ, and through the knowledge of God, as demonstrated by the example of Jesus’ life. - Understand what Jesus has achieved for us through the cross. All sin has been judged in Christ (Romans 3:25, 2 Corinthians 5:19, Hebrews 10:12-23, 1 John 2:1-2). Sin is remitted when we have faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1, 3:22, Galatians 2:16, 3:11-18). We have been made righteous in Christ, and this is the gift of God (Romans 5:17). We are established in righteousness (Isaiah 54:14).
- Righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 5:17, Romans 3:20-25, Galatians 2:16, 1 Corinthians 1:30, Isaiah 54:17). The acceptance of righteousness enables us to be intimate with God, as fear of rejection is removed.
- The accusation of sin which is brought by the knowledge of God’s Law, has been nailed to the cross. Nobody is able to perfectly keep the whole law (1 John 1:8, James 2:10, Romans 2:14, 3:9-10, Colossians 2:14, Romans 7:4). We have been freed from the accusation of the law.
- Satan has been disarmed and zeroed. Satan has no power or access to us when we are in faith (Colossians 2:15, Hebrews 2:14-15, Colossians 1:13, 1 John 5:18). This gives us freedom from Satan’s power through faith in God’s promises.
- We bear fruit by understanding the above, and having the promises established in our heart. We then walk by faith in God’s promises – this is when God’s power (grace) is released to equip us to bear fruit. We have been liberated to partake of our Father’s power and love.
- Understand the life of Jesus
- Jesus healed them all (Matthew 8:16, 12:15)
- Jesus fed the 5,000 – compassion (Matthew 14:14)
- Understand the difference between the Old and New Covenants
- Old Covenant was based on external obedience, blessing and cursing (Deuteronomy 28:1-2, 15)
- New Covenant is based on faith in Jesus Christ. Our merit is based on Jesus’ life, not our own. Jesus is our righteousness (Ephesians 6:14, Galatians 3:13). Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law.
- In Christ all the promises are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20)
- Establish our heart in the Word, the promises of God.
- The promises bring the revelation of love (2 Peter 1:3-4, 1 John 4:10).
- Practice daily meditation of the promises (Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:1-3)
- Faith in God’s Word draws God’s power to walk in victory and escape sin (Romans 5:21, Galatians 2:21).
